Youth Accounts: Scholarships

2008 Scholarship Information

MemberSource Credit Union is pleased to offer five $1,000 scholarships to its members. The scholarship is open to current graduating high school seniors. Please read the following eligibility requirements carefully to find out how we can help you become the next MemberSource Credit Union Scholarship recipient.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be a member of MemberSource Credit Union. The applicant must have his or her own account number with MemberSource Credit Union.
  • Applicants' account must be in good standing.
  • Applicants must have a grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Applicants must currently be a graduating high school senior.
  • Applicants must attend a two-year college or four-year university.
  • Applicants must enroll as a full-time student.
  • MemberSource Credit Union employees, Board Members, Committee Members and immediate family members of MSCU employees, Board Members or Committee Members are not eligible for consideration.

Instructions

  • Complete the entire application form. You may attach additional sheets of paper if necessary.
  • If you need additional applications, they are available below in word and Adobe Acrobat format. Do not recreate application on your own. Applications recreated will be ineligible.
  • Include all required attachments with your completed application. Applications received without all required attachments will be ineligible.
  • Submit five (5) copies of your application and five (5) copies of all attachments. Please note that scholarship applications will not be returned.
  • A personal or phone interview may be required.
  • Send entire application with attachments to:

Required Attachments

  • One certified copy of your high school transcript with four copies of it.
  • One Academic letter of recommendation with four copies of it. The letter should include the references' name, address, phone number, signature and how long they have known you.
  • A current school photo. (Only submit one photo.)

Deadline

  • All scholarship entries must be postmarked on or before April 30, 2008.
  • Winners will be notified by May 30, 2008.
